When I go to the recipe in this link, it says that you essentially make the stock yourself with the raw chicken being cooked in a crock pot of water for 8 hours. In the description here it says to cook the chicken first and then add the stock. Do I separate the fat from the chicken water and pour it back in?

Hi kmcartoonity, I've updated the description to better reflect the recipe. The chicken should be cooked in a slow cooker for 8 hours before the vegetables are added. According to the recipe, no additional stock is added. I hope that helps! - Natalie, Editor of AllFreeSlowCookerRecipes
