  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 cup water

I am loving the serving suggestion as pictured above. A bread bowl is the best way to enjoy a hearty soup or chili on a cold winter night. I haven't made homemade ham/cabbage soup before, and reading this recipe has got me thinking that I can totally do this!
