Summer weather means cooking outside, grilling, picnics, BBQs, and making memories with the family over a great meal. This can make juggling all the different components of that perfect backyard picnic no easy feat. That's where we come in!

When grilling up your main course, it's nice to be able to prepare other dishes indoors so the whole meal is done at the same time. If you've ever wondered how to cook corn on the cob without grilling or roasting it, our straight-forward guide will show you how you can easily accomplish this in your slow cooker. Instructions For How to Cook Corn on the Cob in Your Slow Cooker

Step 1. Begin by shucking your ears of corn. To do this, remove the outer leaves, and clean off all excess silk (the fine "hairs" inside the husk).
Pro Tip: To make this process easier on yourself, try microwaving your corn for a few minutes. To avoid excess mess, try shucking your corn inside a plastic bag.

Step 2. Place individual ears of corn insde sheets of aluminum foil. If you're planning to use any seasoning before cooking, you'll want to add it to the corn before wrapping it up.

Step 3. Twist the edges of the foil tightly to prevent any liquid from dripping out during cooking (especially if you're spreading a butter mixture over your corn).

Step 4. Place as many ears of corn as will fit in your slow cooker and cook on HIGH for 2 hours or on LOW for 4 hours. The time may vary depending on your preferences.

Step 5. Unwrap corn, and garnish and/or season further if desired.
