Moist Meatloaf with Mashed Potatoes

When your having a busy day, haul out your slow cooker for this delicious Moist Meatloaf with Mashed Potatoes recipe. The simple ingredients like ground beef and ketchup give this meatloaf recipe its rich texture and strong flavors. The veggies are what makes this ordinarily dry main course moist so be sure to include them. This southern-style recipe for meatloaf also includes ingredients like Italian seasoning, Cajun seasoning and Creole mustard for an even more powerful punch of flavor. And, of course, no meatloaf would be complete without a side of mashed potatoes, so don't forget to whip up a batch while you are making the meatloaf.

I have to agree with msdeb21, that I usually stick with the same meatloaf recipe, but the addition of spices I never use has me very interested in what this dish will taste like. I like that you chose something to add a definite kick to the flavor because traditionally I use the same Italian ingredients msdeb21 does too. How do you think the two styles of meatloaf compare?

I never stray from my meatloaf recipe, because it's really good. However, I am intrigued by adding Cajun seasoning and Creole mustard. I never thought to add some zing to meatloaf but I do love Cajun food. My meatloaf recipe is more Italian with tomato sauce and Italian seasoned bread crumbs. I have the Ninja cooking system that the recipe contributor mentions and it is a great slow cooker!
